ETK-2026-3763Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.description
The github.com/canonical/lxd Go module mishandles duplicate rootfs entries in imported container images. An attacker who can import a crafted image and use the stopped-container file interface may read or modify files on the host, potentially enabling command execution.
mitigation
Upgrade github.com/canonical/lxd to 0.0.0-20260630083100-c5184be310b1 or later. Until upgraded, restrict image imports and access to stopped-container file operations to trusted administrators.
fixed in 0.0.0-20260630083100-c5184be310b1
outcome
Contextual, not validated: no deterministic check could cover this one, and no technique passed our review.
