description

MemberPress for WordPress through version 1.14.1 is affected by a cross-site request forgery flaw in profile-field handling. An attacker may change an authenticated user’s email address and potentially take over the account through password reset, if they can persuade that user to trigger a forged request.

mitigation

Update MemberPress to a version newer than 1.14.1 after confirming the vendor’s fix. Until then, reduce exposure by restricting administrative access and cautioning authenticated users against following untrusted links.

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
