description

Nut/Net TCP/IP Stack deployments in Nut/OS versions through 5.1 are affected by an infinite-loop condition in TCP option parsing. An unauthenticated remote attacker can cause TCP-based services to become unresponsive when the device exposes an open TCP port.

mitigation

Restrict untrusted network access to open TCP ports on affected devices and isolate them behind filtering controls. Plan device reboots as a recovery measure if TCP services become unresponsive; no fixed version is recorded in the available advisory data.
