description

Nut/OS releases through 5.1 that include the Nut/Net TCP/IP Stack are affected. An unauthenticated remote attacker that can reach an open TCP port can make TCP-based services stop responding until the device is restarted.

mitigation

Restrict inbound TCP access to vulnerable devices to trusted networks and hosts using network filtering. Monitor for a vendor-supported update and apply it after confirming it addresses this issue.
