description

WatchGuard Fireware OS management interfaces contain a NULL pointer dereference that can disrupt the management service. A remote unauthenticated attacker can terminate administrator sessions and interrupt management operations if they can reach the management interface; traffic processing is not affected.

mitigation

Upgrade Fireware OS to 2026.4, 12.12.4, or 12.5.22, as appropriate for the release train. Restrict network access to the management interface to trusted administrative hosts.

fixed in 2026.4, 12.12.4, 12.5.22

outcome

Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
