description

Fireware OS management interfaces before the fixed releases are affected by a NULL pointer dereference. An unauthenticated party able to reach the management interface can interrupt the management service, ending administrator sessions and disrupting management activity; packet forwarding is not affected.

Still under analysis: more detail becomes available as the pipeline runs.

mitigation

Upgrade Fireware OS to 2026.4, 12.12.4, or 12.5.22, as appropriate for the deployed release train. Until upgraded, restrict network access to the management interface to trusted administrative hosts.

fixed in 2026.4, 12.12.4, 12.5.22
