description

Juniper Networks Session Smart Router is affected by an integer overflow in its DPI certificate scanner. An unauthenticated remote attacker may cause a denial of service when the device processes a malicious TLS server certificate.

mitigation

Apply the vendor's security update when a fixed release is identified. Until then, reduce exposure by limiting untrusted TLS traffic through DPI certificate inspection where operationally feasible.

fixed in 7.0.5, 7.1.7, 7.2.3
