ETK-2026-3870Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.description
Versions before 9.1.0 can panic while parsing malformed ZIP archives because of unchecked offset arithmetic. An attacker able to supply a ZIP archive to an affected application or service may cause a denial of service; multi-disk archive metadata is also insufficiently validated.
mitigation
Upgrade the Rust package to version 9.1.0 or later. Until upgraded, avoid processing untrusted ZIP archives in affected services or isolate archive parsing behind process-failure containment.
fixed in 9.1.0
outcome
No artifact: an exploit or check was attempted but could not be produced at this moment.
