ETK-2026-3825Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.description
openvc-core through version 1.38.0 does not verify that a requested did:webvh identifier's SCID matches the resolved log's SCID. An attacker who can control the DID log served by the target host may cause relying parties to trust attacker-selected keys and accept credentials or presentations under another did:webvh identifier.
mitigation
Upgrade openvc-core to version 1.38.1 or later. Until upgraded, limit trust in did:webvh documents hosted on infrastructure that could be controlled or replaced by an attacker.
fixed in 1.38.1
outcome
Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
