ETK-2026-3690Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.description
simplesamlphp/saml2 releases through 6.3.0 process HTTP-Redirect SAML messages without bounding decompressed data. An unauthenticated party able to reach a SAML SSO or SLO endpoint can exhaust PHP worker memory, disrupting SAML authentication services.
mitigation
Apply a local patch to impose a finite output limit when HTTP-Redirect messages are decompressed. Until a maintained release includes this change, reduce exposure by limiting accepted URL sizes and restricting or rate-limiting access to SAML endpoints where feasible.
outcome
Contextual, not validated: no deterministic check could cover this one, and no technique passed our review.
