description

AutoMapper installations prior to the fixed releases may fail to enforce mapping-depth limits for certain polymorphic, runtime-typed, dictionary, dynamic, or converter-driven mappings. An attacker who can supply deeply nested data that reaches one of these paths can cause the application process to terminate.

mitigation

Upgrade AutoMapper to 16.3.0 or 15.1.4. Until upgraded, limit nesting depth before mapping untrusted input; also set MaxDepth on affected derived and runtime-typed maps where applicable.

fixed in 16.3.0, 15.1.4
