description

PinePods releases before 0.9.1 contain multiple authentication and authorization defects that can let unauthenticated attackers trigger protected actions, access some data or configuration, or induce server-side requests. API-key theft through the OIDC flow requires an OIDC-enabled instance and a victim completing sign-in; exposed API keys may also be present in server logs.

mitigation

Upgrade pinepods to version 0.9.1. Rotate API keys, review access and server logs for exposed keys, and limit public access to the affected service until the upgrade is complete.

fixed in 0.9.1
