description

Self-hosted Appsmith Community and Enterprise deployments running server versions before 2.5.0 are affected. A user who can publish an application may cause a signed-in visitor who opens it to perform actions with that visitor's access, including changes to accessible resources; the visitor must open the application while authenticated to the same instance.

mitigation

Upgrade com.appsmith:server to version 2.5.0 or later. Until then, allow only trusted users to create or publish applications and instruct users not to open untrusted applications while signed in.

fixed in 2.5.0
