description

Cluster-mode valkey-server releases in the affected 7.2, 8.0, 8.1, 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2 branches mishandle oversized publish data. An authenticated user with permission to publish can cause a service crash and may be able to execute code as the account running the server; constructing the required data may require server-side scripting.

mitigation

Upgrade valkey-server to 9.2.0-rc2, 9.1.3, 9.0.7, 8.1.11, 8.0.12, 7.2.15 or later.

fixed in 9.2.0-rc2, 9.1.3, 9.0.7, 8.1.11, 8.0.12, 7.2.15
