description

Affected auth-framework releases can accept forged discharges for third-party macaroon caveats, allowing an attacker who holds a relevant macaroon to bypass the third party's authorization requirement. Exposure requires an integration to use the third-party caveat and discharge verification API.

mitigation

Upgrade to auth-framework 0.5.0-rc65 or 0.6.0-rc150. Replace use of the removed third-party caveat and discharge API with verification performed by an appropriate separate verifier.

fixed in 0.5.0-rc65, 0.6.0-rc150
