ETK-2026-2302Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.description
tari_ootle_wallet_crypto can panic when processing a confidential output containing a non-canonical mask encoding. A payer able to submit a confidential transfer to a recipient's public address can cause receiving wallet software, including walletd, to stop and repeatedly fail during later scans.
mitigation
No fixed version is recorded. Reduce exposure by restricting untrusted confidential transfers where feasible and use recovery tooling that can remove the offending output or reset the affected wallet state without unblinding it.
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
