ETK-2026-2210Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.description
lopdf versions through 0.41.0 are affected when parsing PDF documents with excessively nested objects. An attacker who can provide a PDF to an application using lopdf can cause the application process to terminate, resulting in denial of service.
mitigation
Upgrade lopdf to version 0.42.0 or later. Until upgraded, do not process untrusted PDFs with affected versions.
fixed in 0.42.0
outcome
Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
