description

Applications using @vitejs/plugin-rsc releases before 0.5.38 are affected through a bundled vulnerable React server-components dependency. An unauthenticated attacker may be able to execute code; the available evidence indicates authentication is not required but does not specify additional environmental preconditions.

mitigation

Upgrade @vitejs/plugin-rsc to version 0.5.38 or later. Until upgrades are complete, reduce exposure by limiting access to affected application endpoints.

fixed in 0.5.38

outcome

Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
