description

Affected Storybook development servers can be influenced by an attacker-controlled website to alter files in a developer project. The risk requires a running vulnerable dev server and user interaction; code execution may follow if a modified file is later run by a local process. Built Storybook deployments are not affected.

mitigation

Upgrade Storybook to 8.6.19, 9.1.21, 10.6.2, or 11.0.0-alpha.6, as appropriate for your release line, before running the dev server. Until upgraded, do not run affected development servers, especially where they are reachable from unrestricted web browsing.

fixed in 8.6.19, 9.1.21, 10.6.2, 11.0.0-alpha.6
