ETK-2026-1448Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.description
tari_engine decodes engine-call arguments using validator CPU without charging equivalent execution cost. An attacker who can publish and execute a malicious WASM template may cause validators to spend excessive CPU processing transactions, potentially delaying chain operation.
mitigation
Restrict untrusted template publication and execution, and apply transaction admission or rate limits where available to reduce exposure. No fixed version is recorded; deploy an upstream release containing metering for engine-call argument decoding when one becomes available.
outcome
No artifact: an exploit or check was attempted but could not be produced at this moment.
