ETK-2026-119Zero's internal tracking ID, independent of the CVE number.
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.description
Next.js applications using the Node.js next/og ImageResponse path may allow remote code execution during image rendering. Exposure requires attacker-controlled data to be incorporated into generated SVG content, attributes, or style values; the Edge implementation is not affected.
mitigation
Upgrade the next package to version 16.3.6. Until upgrades are complete, prevent untrusted input from reaching SVG content, attributes, or styles used by Node.js ImageResponse.
fixed in 16.3.6
outcome
Mechanism verified: the exploit fired on the vulnerable build and stayed silent on the patched one, but the server it ran against was ours, so no check ships for it.
