description

Groundhogg for WordPress versions through 4.9 can allow a user with Sales Representative-level access or greater to elevate to a WordPress administrator session. Exploitation requires an authenticated account with permissions to manage contacts and send test emails.

mitigation

Restrict or remove Sales Representative and similarly privileged accounts to trusted users, and review their access immediately. Temporarily deactivate Groundhogg where those permissions cannot be safely limited; no fixed version is recorded.
