description

NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source are affected by a use-after-free in core request processing when AIO is enabled alongside SSI virtual includes. An unauthenticated remote requester may cause worker crashes or memory corruption; code execution may be possible where ASLR is disabled or can be bypassed.

mitigation

Upgrade NGINX Plus to 37.1.0.1 or 37.0.5.1 for the applicable release stream, and upgrade NGINX Open Source to 1.31.7 or 1.30.6. Until upgraded, disable AIO or SSI virtual-include processing where operationally feasible.

fixed in 37.1.0.1, 37.0.5.1, *, 1.31.7, 1.30.6
