CVE-2026-97190
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-rxjg-4wwx-r4pf ↗EUVD-2026-118956 ↗
description
Advanced Custom Fields versions before 6.8.11 can allow bidirectional relationship synchronization to change references on posts, users, or terms outside the acting user's edit permissions. Exploitation requires an authenticated WordPress account with contributor-level access or greater and access to the affected synchronization functionality.
mitigation
Upgrade Advanced Custom Fields to version 6.8.11 or later. Restrict contributor and other untrusted accounts until the update is deployed.
fixed in 6.8.11
outcome
Check only, differential: the check fires on the vulnerable build and is silent on the patched one.
