description

All versions of Murrelektronik Software AAS Edge Client are affected. A remote party that can reach the service may view information returned by its read interfaces and change Asset Administration Shell submodel records through update requests, without first authenticating.

mitigation

Restrict network access to the AAS Edge Client API immediately, permitting only trusted users and systems through firewall or gateway controls. Require authentication upstream where possible and limit exposure of read and update endpoints until the vendor supplies a fix.
