description

LearnPress for WordPress versions through 4.4.8 may expose course-material files through an authorization flaw in a public AJAX function. An unauthenticated attacker may retrieve materials from restricted courses when the site has a course that allows access without enrollment and has material files attached.

mitigation

Disable the “No Required Enroll” setting for all courses and restrict public access to the affected LearnPress AJAX endpoint where operationally feasible. Monitor for and deploy a vendor release that addresses the issue; no fixed version is recorded.
