description

Happyforms Pro for WordPress versions through 1.38.9 are affected by stored cross-site scripting. An unauthenticated attacker may cause browser-executed content to be stored in a page, affecting users who later view that page. Exploitation requires the vulnerable plugin to be reachable and a user to load content containing the stored value.

mitigation

Update Happyforms Pro to a vendor-confirmed release later than 1.38.9 that addresses this issue. Until then, disable or restrict unauthenticated form submissions and block requests carrying the affected referer field where feasible.

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
