The listed Red Hat operators that use affected Ansible Operator Plugins may evaluate untrusted custom-resource specification values as Jinja2 templates. A Kubernetes user able to create or modify a processed custom resource could run code in an operator pod and obtain the permissions assigned to that operator's service account.
mitigation
Restrict creation and modification of affected custom resources to trusted identities, and reduce operator service-account permissions to the minimum required. Monitor for and apply vendor updates when fixed package versions are published.
