description

Live2DWebCanvas for WordPress versions through 2.2.1 can allow unauthenticated file uploads to a web-accessible plugin location. An attacker may use uploaded executable files to obtain code execution when the plugin is configured for custom-local, self-hosted model operation.

mitigation

Disable the custom-local mode immediately. Until a vendor-fixed release is available, deactivate and remove the plugin where that mode cannot be disabled.

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
