CVE-2026-91191
validatedZero produced an exploit or a check.GHSA-q7r9-65j5-94xj ↗EUVD-2026-89467 ↗
description
Lantronix G520 Series gateways can accept packages whose authenticity is not reliably verified during package restoration and updates. An attacker who can supply a malicious package may execute code with root privileges; exposure depends on the attacker being able to influence the package source or installation path.
mitigation
Restrict access to package feeds, update mechanisms, and writable package storage, and prevent installation of untrusted packages. Apply a vendor firmware update that enforces signature validation and replaces the exposed trust key when one is available.
fixed in 2.6.0.7R6
outcome
Contextual check: a technique exists and was validated, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
source signals
Public signals that triggered or updated the pipeline. These are inputs for the deltas above.
