CVE-2026-89407
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-p6pp-m3f8-5c89 ↗EUVD-2026-84498 ↗
description
jackson-core number validation can consume excessive CPU when processing certain long strings. An attacker may cause denial of service if they can submit JSON string values that the application coerces into numeric types.
mitigation
Upgrade com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-core to 2.18.11, 2.21.7, or 2.22.3, or tools.jackson.core:jackson-core to 3.1.7 or 3.2.2. Until upgraded, restrict accepted string and request-body sizes and apply parsing time limits.
fixed in 2.18.11, 2.21.7, 2.22.3, 3.1.7, 3.2.2
outcome
Contextual: an exploit technique exists, but no deterministic check could cover this one.
