description

Kubeflow Pipelines kfp-frontend versions through 2.17.3 can be induced to retrieve and return HTTP content from services reachable by the frontend. In the default standalone configuration, an attacker able to reach the frontend can do so without authentication; multi-user deployments require an authorized user. This may expose internal services or instance metadata where network access permits it.

mitigation

Upgrade ghcr.io/kubeflow/kfp-frontend and the matching Kubeflow Pipelines components to 2.18.0, including namespace artifact receivers. Restrict frontend network egress and ensure configured artifact stores and redirect destinations are trusted.

fixed in 2.18.0
