description

ApiAdmin 5.0 and earlier do not adequately restrict file types accepted by an administrative upload function. An authenticated administrator can upload a server-executable file and potentially execute code on the host through the web server.

mitigation

Restrict the upload endpoint to an allowlist of non-executable file types and configure the web server to prevent script execution in upload directories. Limit administrator access until a vendor-fixed release is available.
