description

QA Assistants – Driven by data for WordPress versions through 5.3.0 are affected by unsafe PHP object deserialization. An unauthenticated remote attacker may cause attacker-controlled file writes and potentially execute code when the plugin's scheduled processing handles malicious queued data.

mitigation

Deactivate and remove the plugin until its maintainer publishes and confirms a patched release; no fixed version is recorded. If removal must be delayed, restrict public access to WordPress cron processing and run scheduled tasks only from a trusted internal scheduler.

outcome

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
