description

s2Member for WordPress, including version 260927 and earlier, has unsafe processing of an item name used in email templates. An authenticated user with custom-level access or higher may cause code to run on the WordPress server.

mitigation

Restrict custom-level and higher s2Member accounts to trusted administrators, and disable the plugin where that restriction cannot be enforced. Monitor for a vendor update that explicitly addresses this issue and upgrade after confirming the fixed release.

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
