description

Dell PowerProtect Data Domain Feature Release 7.7.1.0 through 8.8 and the listed LTS 2024, 2025, and 2026 releases are affected by an OS command injection flaw. A remote attacker who already has high privileges could execute commands on the appliance.

mitigation

Apply Dell-supplied updates for the affected release branch. Until updates are deployed, restrict remote access and limit high-privilege accounts to reduce exposure.

fixed in 8.9.0.0 or later, 7.13.1.90 or later, 8.3.1.50 or later, 8.6.1.30 or later
