description

MarkLogic Server 11.x before 11.3.7 and 12.x before 12.1.0 are affected through a deprecated Management API package path. A remote user with manage-user-level privileges may obtain persistent unauthorized administrative control.

mitigation

Upgrade MarkLogic Server 11.x to 11.3.7 or later, or 12.x to 12.1.0 or later. Restrict manage-user-level access and disable or limit access to the deprecated Management API path where possible.

fixed in 11.3.7, 12.1.0
