CVE-2026-85742
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-2g42-f97q-973x ↗EUVD-2026-118383 ↗
description
FreeScout versions before 1.8.230 can retain attacker-supplied markup in failed alert-job records and render it unsafely in the administrator failed-job details page. An unauthenticated attacker may cause JavaScript to run with an administrator's same-origin privileges if the required logging and failed-job conditions exist and an administrator opens the details page directly.
mitigation
Upgrade FreeScout to version 1.8.230 or later. Until upgraded, restrict administrator access to failed-job details and avoid opening those records as top-level pages.
fixed in 1.8.230
outcome
Contextual, not validated: no deterministic check could cover this one, and no technique passed our review.
