description

Affected Nutanix AOS deployments may allow unauthenticated access to Prism Element administrative APIs because authentication filtering is misconfigured. An attacker able to reach the affected management interface could gain cluster-administrator access and execute commands on Controller VMs, exposing cluster operations and hosted data.

mitigation

Upgrade Nutanix AOS to 7.3.1.18, 7.5.2, or 7.6.0.8, as appropriate for the release train. Until upgrading, restrict Prism Element management-interface access to trusted administrative networks.

fixed in 7.3.1.18, 7.5.2, 7.6.0.8
