description

Affected Nginx-UI versions allow a holder of a stolen valid JWT to enroll a TOTP secret or register a passkey without re-authenticating with the current password. An attacker can establish a credential they control for the victim account, potentially retaining access after a password change; TOTP enrollment requires that the account has not already enabled TOTP.

mitigation

Upgrade the Nginx-UI Go package to 1.9.10-0.20260703131214-23d1934099b0 or later. Review accounts for unexpected TOTP configuration or passkey registrations and revoke affected sessions.
