description

BoKS Manager boks-server installations using keytab management may generate Active Directory service-account passwords from a timestamp-derived pseudo-random sequence. An attacker who knows the relevant service principal and can approximate when its password changed may narrow and test password candidates offline.

mitigation

Upgrade BoKS Manager boks-server to version 9.0.0.6 or later. Until upgraded, limit use of the affected keytab-management workflow and rotate exposed service-account credentials.

fixed in 9.0.0.6
