description

BuddyBoss App for WordPress through version 3.2.1 improperly validates files submitted through its feedback feature. An attacker with a subscriber-or-higher account may upload potentially executable content and could obtain code execution when the uploaded file is exposed or retained after mail delivery problems.

mitigation

Restrict or remove untrusted subscriber-level accounts, and disable the feedback submission feature if your deployment permits it. Monitor for a vendor-fixed release and upgrade after a confirmed remediation is available; no fixed version is recorded in the advisory.

outcome

Upstream: a detection for this already ships elsewhere, so we didn't generate a new one. The credit goes to whoever did.
