description

Frigate NVR versions before 0.17.2 do not enforce administrator-role checks for WebSocket operations. An authenticated viewer-level user can perform administrator-only actions, including restarting the service or altering camera monitoring and notification settings. Exploitation requires authentication and valid user credentials.

mitigation

Upgrade unnamed to >=0.17.2 or later.

fixed in >=0.17.2
