description

OpENer v2.3 at commit 76b95cf is affected by an out-of-bounds read in the server-side EtherNet/IP ForwardOpen connection-path parser. A remote attacker may cause a denial of service when they can reach a service that processes ForwardOpen connection paths.

mitigation

Restrict untrusted network access to EtherNet/IP services that use the affected parser, including through segmentation and firewall rules. Track vendor updates and upgrade when a corrected release is identified; the evidence does not name a fixed version.
