description

Apache Juneau REST server releases through 9.2.0 can expose internal exception classes and messages in error response headers or bodies. A remote client that triggers an error may obtain implementation details, including when stack-trace rendering is disabled.

mitigation

Upgrade org.apache.juneau:juneau-rest-server to version 9.2.1 or later. Restrict untrusted access to affected REST endpoints until the update is deployed.

fixed in 9.2.1

outcome

Mechanism verified: the exploit fired on the vulnerable build and stayed silent on the patched one, but the server it ran against was ours, so no check ships for it.
