description

Apache Juneau through 9.2.0 is affected by unbounded memory allocation in REST request processing, including its default-enabled MessagePack parser. An unauthenticated remote client may exhaust application memory and disrupt service when it can send requests to a reachable REST endpoint.

mitigation

Upgrade Apache Juneau to version 9.2.1. Until upgrading, restrict untrusted access to REST endpoints and disable MessagePack processing where feasible.

fixed in 9.2.1
