CVE-2026-71884
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-qgfp-x9w9-pwj2 ↗EUVD-2026-95586 ↗
description
bcprov-lts8on versions before 2.73.13 have a flaw in the native one-shot CTR packet-cipher path. An attacker who can obtain ciphertext from an overlong operation using a 13–15 byte IV may recover plaintext because encryption material is reused. The issue requires use of the affected native one-shot implementation and input exceeding the counter capacity implied by the IV.
mitigation
Upgrade bcprov-lts8on to version 2.73.13 or later. Until upgrade, avoid the native one-shot CTR path with 13–15 byte IVs and ensure requests cannot exceed the available counter range.
fixed in 2.73.13
outcome
No artifact: an exploit or check was attempted but could not be produced at this moment.
