description

Affected ASP.NET Core Identity applications can send password-reset or account-confirmation messages to an address supplied in a request rather than the account's established address. An unauthenticated remote attacker may use this behavior to obtain elevated access when the application exposes affected reset or confirmation flows.

mitigation

Update affected ASP.NET Core runtime or package references to 8.0.32, 9.0.21, or 10.0.13, as applicable, then restart applications. Rebuild and redeploy self-contained applications using affected runtime versions.
