CVE-2026-68495
waiting for further signalsZero needs more public information before it can validate it.GHSA-3v8f-v6vx-fmrm ↗EUVD-2026-90977 ↗
description
Jackson Smile and CBOR dataformat parsers fail to apply the configured property-name length limit. An attacker who can submit Smile or CBOR data to a parsing endpoint can cause excessive memory use and deny service by sending documents with oversized object property names.
mitigation
Upgrade the affected Smile and CBOR modules to tools.jackson 3.1.6 or 3.2.2, or to com.fasterxml.jackson 2.18.10, 2.21.6, or 2.22.2, as appropriate for the release line. Until upgraded, enforce request-size limits before data reaches the parser and restrict untrusted access to Smile and CBOR parsing endpoints.
fixed in 3.2.2, 3.1.6, 2.18.10, 2.21.6, 2.22.2
outcome
Contextual, not validated: no deterministic check could cover this one, and no technique passed our review.
