description

MBD-X12SPI BMC IPMI functionality is affected. An attacker with IPMI Administrator privileges may access arbitrary BMC physical memory and execute code on the BMC operating system.

mitigation

Restrict IPMI administration to trusted users and isolated management networks. Monitor Supermicro's security portal for MBD-X12SPI BMC firmware remediation and apply the applicable update when released.
